The Law of Attraction Lies Within

I have always been a big fan of books like The Secret and The Power of the Spoken Word.  There is a lot to be said for attracting what we desire towards us.  These books, and the theory of attraction in general, claim that we will attract what we project out to the universe.  At first blush, it all seems a little hocus-pocus for most of us to believe.

As an example, I have decided that I want a new executive job.  I envision the perfect job, sensing what the eperience will feel like.  I visualize myself successfully leading a group of employees, winning over customers left and right, and living the high life.  Depending on which version of the law of attraction you subscribe to; you go through mental exercises sebveral times a day until you are fully convinced that what you have asked for has already come true!

Do you create a bundle of energy that is released into the cosmos, magically bringing you your desires in a new age basket?  Does physics create a vacuum in another alternate world and draw your fondest wishes in towards you?  Does the Goddess of Fulfillment pay a personal visit to your destiny?  Those types of thoughts are just a little too esoteric for my tastes.  That is not to say that I do not believe in attraction.

Rather than draw success towards you, I am convinced that the law of attraction draws you towards success.  By programming yourself for those things you truly desire; you awaken your senses and mind.  You become more open to opportunity and are willing to take greaters chances.  When something resembling your desires appears, you are more fully prepared to recognize and embrace it!  In short, you are hard-wiring yourself to succeed.  Your confidence oozes out and you seize the opportunity!

As always, a positive outlook trumps a handful of negative thoughts!
